Early Break: We’ve said before that a conference tournament run can’t blind you from what happened during the regular season

  • We just had the conversation earlier THIS WEEK about how even if Nebraska got on a run and won 3 games in the B1G Tournament, it shouldn’t take away the decision from Bill Moos on what to do with the basketball program going forward….did people believe that narrative going in, and if so, do they still feel that way?
  • It’s clear that Miles loves Nebraska and wants to be here, but it’s clear that this season was a disappointment, also. What gives? Are you blinded

Early Break: – What is going through Bill Moos’ head right now? could Nebrasketball dance without winning tournament?

  • Nebraska sits at 18-15 overall, and a win today against Wisconsin would get them a 19th win and 2 straight Quad 1 wins against ranked B1G teams. Hmmmmm…..that would be interesting when it comes to the actual NCAA Tournament…but maybe not that interesting
  • Moos wasn’t in attendance for the win against Maryland, as he is out in California for his son’s Spring Game…is that REALLY what was going on, though? Is there a chance that there is an agreement in principle with a coach? And how awkward could this get if the B1G Tourney run continues?

Early Break: Tim Miles and Nebrasketball WON’T DIE! Huskers beat Maryland, to move on to the B1G Tournament quarterfinals

  • Depleted roster and all, Miles’ squad was able to keep Bruno Fernando in check (1-4, 3 points), and it was another great game from James Palmer, Glynn Watson, Isaiah Roby…and, Johnny Trueblood
  • Of all the teams you could play in the quarterfinals, Wisconsin is definitely the team you’d prefer the most (compared to Purdue, Michigan, and Michigan State). Can the momentum keep going today? Can you still stay out of foul trouble and not have James Palmer’s legs fall off from playing so many minutes? What a wild time
