The Drive: April 15th, 2pm

  • Do you remember that one time Tiger Woods won The Masters?
  • Biggest news from the Spring Game was what?
  • Some general takeaways from the Spring Game
  • Man of the Weekend

Early Break: Tiger FREAKING Woods wins the Masters, his first major win in 11 years….how’s THAT for a sports story?

  • Yes, we’ll get to the Spring Game later on…but let’s give credit where credit is due. What an amazing story of a turnaround for Woods, who last won a major at the 2008 U.S. Open. Personal problems, body breaking down, and more pushed Woods out of the spotlight for many years, but at 43 years old, he wins the first major of the year.
  • Where does this stack up with all-time stories in sports? The dude could barely even hit a golf shot 100 yards 18 months ago with all his back pain, and now he wins the freaking Masters. WOW

Early Break: Will you watch the Masters this weekend no matter what, even if Tiger Woods falls out of contention?

  • Brooks Koepka is at the top of the leaderboard, and he’s becoming a dominant figure in golf—3 major titles will do that for you. Is his name, and other big names, enough to keep people watching if Tiger were to fall off? (Tiger shot 2-under in the first round and is still very much so in contention)
  • How are the golf pools looking for Sip, Jake and Hot Take?
  • Grades for the show

Early Break: Mike Schaefer (247 Sports/Huskers Illustrated): Part 3

  • Who are the guys’ picks for The Masters, starting today? Any chance Sip watches even a second of the 4-day tournament at all?
  • Will Schaefer be the guy streaming the Masters on his phone on Saturday during the Spring Game?
  • Plus, Hot Take gives final grades for the guys for their show today

The Brett Kane Show w/ Bock: April 9th, 2pm

  • Did the Masters make a new golf enemy
  • What was with the Imagine Dragons reference?
  • Stewart Mandel is not far off on his Nebraska assessment
  • Man of the Weekend

April 6th: An update of The Masters—and Sergio Garcia makes us all feel like we belong for one hole on the PGA Tour

7:45 –

-Tony Finau, who rolled his ankle in Wednesday’s Par 3 contest, ends up playing and has a phenomenal first round, while Tiger Woods battles through his round to a solid round of 1-over par…with no birdies on any par 5s!

-Sergio Garcia puts 5 balls in the water on hole 15 and cards a 13….congrats to you for being as good as a tour pro for one hole at the Masters!

April 6th: Erik Chinander acts like he has more to work with than he expected to have when he first took over the Husker defense…does that speed up the process?

6:00

-Was it just confusion last year that caused epic breakdowns in the defense every game? Or were they just lacking talent? The talent level definitely isn’t what Bill Callahan left Bo Pelini left for his first few years of his tenure at Nebraska, but it’s definitely not lacking. Could Chinander have the same type of impact immediately that Pelini did defensively?

-Why does everyone think that the defense is bound to be terrible? They were bad last year, yes—but they have guys who were highly rated in recruiting everywhere defensively..
