The Drive: July 5th, 3pm

  • Xavier Watts chooses Notre Dame over Nebraska, why?
  • Scott Frost has coached 3 of the top 15 QB seasons of all time, is that what we can expect from Adrian Martinez?
  • What’s Poppin’ (brought to you by Barney Insurance)

  • Chris Heady (Omaha World Herald)
  • What’s Poppin (brought to you by Barney Insurance)

Early Break: Bill Bender (The Sporting News)

  • Bill ranked Adrian Martinez as the 10th best QB in the nation….behind the likes of Shea Patterson at Michigan…which of the 2 is the better QB when all is said and done, though?
  • Does Martinez have the highest ceiling of any QB right now in college football?
  • Lots of preseason polls have as many as 5 B1G West teams in the Top 25..is the West deeper/stronger

The Drive: April 24th, 4pm

  • Michael Bruntz (247 Sports)
  • What’s in the Box (Raisin’ Canes)

Early Break: Sean Callahan (Husker Online)

  • Husker Online did a deep dive into the QBs post-Spring Game…what are the biggest takeaways with that group entering the Fall?
  • Will Nebraska be able to fully take advantage of Adrian Martinez in the small window they have to win with him?
  • How much attrition to you expect this summer, if any

Early Break: Has the B1G started to level out in terms of strength of divisions?

  • The past years, the East was a beast—Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, and Michigan State all beat up on each other, and the division was perceived not only as the best in the conference—but one of the best in the nation.
  • Urban Meyer is now gone at Ohio State, Michigan State has no QB, Penn State has lost star power the past 2 years in Barkley/McSorley, and Michigan is good but not great. Meanwhile, Minnesota and Nebraska are on the uptick in the West, and Nebraska/Wisconsin/Northwestern all have exciting young QBs, and Purdue/Iowa still have capable offense/teams

Can you imagine Nebraska having a top-ranked QB in QBR like Scott Frost had at Oregon and UCF?

  • We’ve discussed that stat many times with the results he had with Marcus Mariota, Vernon Adams and McKenzie Milton…but envision that with Adrian Martinez or Tristan Gebbia or someone else…do you believe that can happen here?
  • Frost also had many comments on QBs avoiding the Nebraska fishbowl and how he recruits QBs…more audio from B1G Media Days
