It’s clear that Nebraska has a ways to go in recruiting…do they know what system they’re recruiting to, or are changes on the horizon?

-This is a big week for coaches to get on the road and try to make some gains in recruiting during the bye week, but one has to wonder what goes on in Scott Frost’s head when he sees games like the Minnesota game happen. Last year, Nebraska beat the Gophers badly, and held their own against Wisconsin and Iowa…but those games look like bears this year. Are there any revisions coming to the type of players Frost needs to recruit to win in Lincoln?

The guys get deep into the weeds with Nebraska’s Director of Football & Recruiting Administration, Trent Mossbrucker.

Sean Callahan (Husker Online)

-Nebraska adds William Nixon as the 8th commit in the class…what does he bring to the table?

-Do you think Xavier Watts’ commitment to Notre Dame is firm and final or will Nebraska stay involved?

-It appears that Nebraska will have to do quite a bit of recruiting during the season…how effective can they be in that role instead of having it all done before the season starts?

Huskers land another commit in William Nixon; also, B1G Media Days representatives announced for Nebraska

-Make it 8 commits now in the class of 2020 for Nebraska, as 3-star WR William Nixon (Texas) commits to Nebraska on Monday…let’s do what we do and praise a kid who is still yet to play his last year of High School.

-Also, Martinez, Khalil Davis, Mo Barry set to represent Nebraska at B1G Media Days next week in Chicago…correct choices for Nebraska or is there someone else you hoped to see go? How popular is Martinez going to be at this thing?

The fireworks started a little early in Lincoln—Blaise Gunnerson commits to Nebraska

-Gunnerson, likely to play OLB at 6’5”, 250 pounds, comes to Nebraska from Carroll, Iowa, with the Huskers beating out Iowa State for his services

-How do we assess the 2020 class now? No panicking, right? Even with not getting Cody Simon…?

-Also, congrats to the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team for beating England, 2-1, to move on to World Cup Finals

Who would you rather have: Blaise Gunnerson or Xavier Watts, for the sake of keeping in-state talent?

-Gunnerson, from Carroll, IA, is set to choose between Nebraska and Iowa State soon, as a linebacker that’s a huge position of need for Nebraska.

-However, Zavier Betts believes that WR Xavier Watts is going to choose Notre Dame, and leave Nebraska to do so…is it more important to lock the in-state player up, or is it more important to get Gunnerson (hypothetical choice)
