Aging Gracefully (sponsored by Carriage Glen Independent Living 55+)

-What’s on Sip’s mind this week in learning how to age gracefully?

The Big Ten says they’ll let some fans into games next week for the conference tourney…optimism rises for next year, right? / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe)

-The B1G announced that 8,000 fans per game will be able to attend for the men’s tourney, and 2,500 for the women’s tourney

-This may catch you all by surprise, but maybe not. Have to think it helps for next year’s attendances..

Nebraska has appeared in one B1G conference championship game in their 10 years in the league…what is a fair expectation for the next 10 years?

-Here’s a rundown of how many appearances teams have had in the B1G Title game in the 10 years of its existence:  Ohio State (6), Wisconsin (6), Michigan State (3), Northwestern (2), Penn State (1), Iowa (1), Nebraska (1)

-For all the praise we’ve given Iowa in beating Nebraska the last 6 years, they still have the same amount of conference title appearances as the Huskers. So what’s a proper expectation for the next 10 years?

Bill Moos wants the fire from the past to come back to Nebraska football..and what’s wrong with that?

-The answer should be: NOTHING is wrong with that. But, as Sip points out in his latest column, hiring Jason Peter and Jay Foreman as volunteers is viewed as a ‘ho-hum’ move, instead of widespread excitement

-Does that kind of fire still exist in college athletics? It should….you wonder what the locker rooms are like at Clemson, Alabama, and more….

-It was Senior Night for the 5th-ranked Hawkeyes, and the 2nd game for Nebrasketball without Teddy Allen with the program -Nebraska hadn’t faced Iowa yet this year, so it was their first chance to play Luka Garza and company. Last year, they split the series. What was the mood after last night’s game? Jake promised to chug a Bud Light tall boy during the show if Nebraska won

DP & Stephens: Former Husker Terrance Badgett

Former Husker Terrance Badgett joins the show to discuss the Husker Basketball Program.

Fred Hoiberg and his guys take on #5 Iowa tomorrow night in Iowa City.

Sean Callahan (Husker Online)

-Spring football arrives for Nebraska later this month…what are the biggest storylines you’re watching?

-North Dakota State’s 39 game win streak is snapped…are you expecting the same level of play from FCS teams as they usually do in the Fall?

-Teddy Allen is done as a Husker…surprised it ended like this?

A Bears fan wanted to take a picture with Jay Cutler in Vail, but Cutler made him chug a pitcher of beer to earn that right

-How about that for a badass move by Cutler? You want a picture with me? You have to earn it. Chug this pitcher of beer. Incredible.

-More people should demand feats like this, right?!

Robin Washut (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe)

-Teddy Allen is no longer with Nebrasketball…what exactly happened here?

-How much roster turnover do you expect going into next year?

-Thoughts on win against Minnesota and last night’s Rutgers game…

Do you believe Nebrasketball can string together consecutive March Madness appearances under Fred Hoiberg?

-It’s not going to happen this year, and it didn’t happen in his first year. But why can’t it happen? Tim Miles made it one year, and it hadn’t happened at all for the previous 16 years before that. But Miles never got back to the Dance

-Rutgers would have made it last year and will make it this year—so that would be consecutive years for a typically down program. Do you believe that Hoiberg can get it going on a consistent basis? How soon?
