Ndamukong Suh named to NFL’s All-Decade Team…if you had to choose the single greatest player in Husker football history, would be on top of the list?

-There’s lots of great players to choose from, like Dave Rimington, Dean Steinkuhler, and many more highly drafted players to the NFL…would Suh be ahead of those guys?

-That’s not even mentioning the Heisman winners, who weren’t stars in the NFL (Rozier did have one 1,000 yard rushing season, though). If we’re counting NFL success as a factor in this, is Suh tops or not? The man was a Heisman Trophy finalist as a defensive tackle!

What are the biggest reasons why we believe Scott Frost’s tenure at Nebraska will be better than Bo Pelini’s?

-This is not meant to be a diss at either coach; it’s actually an interesting question. Pelini took over a 5-7 team when he started in 2008, and his second season, he delivered the nation’s top defense, and was one second away from winning the Big 12 Championship. Optimism was high, and in his third year, they again made the Big 12 title game, but blew a 17-0 lead and loss to Oklahoma. He won at least 9 games every year, and appeared in 3 of 7 conference title games

-What is your biggest reason why you think Frost can get over the hump that Bo was so close to getting over but couldn’t? There’s a chance that Bo’s first and second seasons deliver better results than Frost’s first 2 seasons, but there still could be valid reasons to believe in Frost more than Pelini. Interesting dynamic.

-Also, sidenote: great story by Adam Rittenberg of ESPN on Ndamukong Suh’s 2009 season

CBS Sports lists 5 Nebraska players in their All-Time First-Team All-American team, and several more in 2nd/honorable mention…what’s the all-time Nebraska team?

-CBS Sports lists Tommie Frazier as the ALL-TIME (!) first-team All-American QB. That’s a hell of a statement and certainly an honor for him. Also on first team were Johnny Rodgers as a punt returner AND all-purpose player; Dave Rimington at center; and Ndamukong Suh on the d-line

-Alex Henery was listed as 2nd-team kicker; Will Shields as 2nd-team OL; Rich Glover as 2nd-team DL; Dominic Raiola as honorable mention center; and Aaron Taylor as honorable mention. Those guys definitely make the all-Nebraska team, too…but who else makes it all-time?
