DP & Stephens: Husker Football, Monday Night Football, and the World Series

Tom and DP talk Husker football, react to more sound bites, talk Monday Night Football, and preview the World Series.

Two Monday Night football games tonight for the 2nd time this year…what a beautiful sight

-Cam Newton tested positive for COVID on Saturday, and forced the Patriots/Chiefs game to move to Monday night, where it will air on CBS just ahead of the normal ESPN Monday Night game

-This is…a big loss for ESPN. Most eyes will want to see Patriots/Chiefs compared to Falcons/Packers, although they can still see the 2nd half of that game when the first one ends

Can you talk yourself into believing that Nebraska can keep it close and win at Ohio State?

-Oh boy. Here we go. Kool-aid season is back. Jake and Sip have said on the air that it would (obviously) be a huge upset to win in Columbus to begin the year. But seeing what happened to Oklahoma against Kansas State…can you dream of a scenario where Nebraska hangs with the Buckeyes and wins?

-The last trip to Columbus resulted in a surprisingly close game for Nebraska. We don’t like moral victories, but fans generally felt pretty good about what happened that day. Any chance that could happen again, but with a winning result?
