The Happer and Stephens Show: December 1st, 11am

December 1st: Picks of the Weekend, and predictions on when Scott Frost is announced as Nebraska’s new coach

-How long will Sip be camped out at the airport for? A whole day? Should Jake deliver tacos to Sip and the Journal Star staff?

-Games:    Miami/Clemson;     UCF/Memphis;      Auburn/Georgia;      Ohio State/Wisconsin;    others

December 1st: Does Nebrasketball have any chance against Michigan State on Sunday? / Shut Up Sipple

-Michigan State routed Notre Dame last night and sit at 3rd in the polls…and it’s in East Lansing. Yikes.

-Until last year’s game, Nebrasketball had done very well against Tom Izzo and the Spartans…can they bring the upset flavor on the road again?

December 1st: Does the smoothness of how the Bill Moos and Scott Frost hires went down give you confidence that luck might finally be turning Nebraska’s way?

-There was no embarrassing delay or names thrown out before Bill Moos was hired, and although he wasn’t a terribly known person by fans, he has been remarkable ever since the day he was hired

-And, if Frost is indeed hired this weekend, it might be the smoothest and quietest coaching search that’s ever happened in college sports..does this indicate at all that luck is going Nebraska’s way finally?

December 1st: If Mike Leach is truly headed to Tennessee, it feels like a match made in heaven

-A good tweet from Mike Schaefer last night; should we require Leach to wear a Davy Crockett raccoon hat every game? He just seems to fit in well there

December 1st: What impact will Frost make in recruiting when he gets here?

-Kirk Herbstreit tried to ruffle some feathers yesterday by saying he’s hearing there could be some steam of Scott Frost to Florida State to replace Jimbo Fisher who might be headed to Texas A&M…seems unlikely still

-For recruiting…what should Frost’s strategy be when he gets here? Can you change a class’ overall strategy in less than 2 months?

December 1st: What makes Scott Frost a good coach, and can his success in the AAC translate to B1G success?

-We’re obviously enamored with him because he played at Nebraska and is having success on the national level…but what exactly is it besides that which makes him a good coach?

-Do you think he will be able to make it work in the B1G? Pelini had things working well in the Big 12 before they moved to the B1G and just could never figure it out, nor could Mike Riley..what does Frost need to do to make the fix work right away?

  • Is it fair to question player “development” or “regression” under Mike Riley? Or are there other circumstances that need to be considered?
