Early Break: Scott Frost pretty much tells the Tourism Department to SHOVE IT, and more from speech

  • Sorensen was in attendance for Frost’s talk to more than 1,100 people, and there were many highlights—including when Frost, knowing that there might be people from the Tourism Department present, still ripped into their new slogan, saying it doesn’t really help recruiting and it’s pretty much dumb, anyways.
    •  A tear came to Jake’s eye, he was so happy.
  • Other takeaways: Zac Duvall texted Frost to tell him that, “Old Nebraska is almost back;” Frost hates the Sandhill cranes, and more!

Early Break: Are you still watching the AAF?

  • Sorensen isn’t trying to troll, he’s just trying to ask a legitimate question, is the league still doing well after a few weeks?
    • Are people watching?
    • Is the level of play satisfying to watch?
  • Song of the Day:

Early Break: Would the AAF survive in Omaha

  • The Nighthawks had decent attendance when they were in the UFL a few years ago…there are only 8 teams in the AAF, but what if it ever expanded? Would it survive? It’s in non-Husker football time of year
  • Why was Shawn Eichorst there?
  • Is Mike Riley having the time of his life?

Happer & Stephens: July 13th, 12pm

  • Who do you hate the most out of Callahan, Pelini, or Riley?
  • In case you forgot, the year is 2018, and there’s always somebody who’s offended
  • Bull or No Bull

How long does the Scott Frost honeymoon last for? The full 2018 season or until Nebraska suffers their first major blowout loss…..or later?

  • Nebraska has been embarrassed in many marquee games over the past 15 years where it’s been far too common to see games get away from them and embarrassing numbers in points given up and yardage, too—in the Callahan, Pelini and Riley eras. All are guilty—some less than others—but all are guilty
  • Go back to Pelini for a second. He was many fan’s favorite to land the job, and was a popular hire by most accounts. He also turned a teams that went 5-7 the year before he got to Lincoln into a 9 win team in his first year. How long did his honeymoon last for? It was a pretty solid first 3 years for him…but it would be surprising to see this team get 9 wins this year

Happer & Stephens: January 18th, 12pm

  • Nebraska has lost at least one game by three or more touchdowns almost every year since 2003.
    • Can Scott Frost and Erik Chinander buck that trend?
  • Do you remember: Nebraska/Missouri 2009
  • Tanner Lee is still pretty confident in his abilities
  • Bull or No Bull, brought to you by Buffalo Wings and Rings
