How important is a clean break from the previous coaching staff for players?

  • We heard back in 2015 in Mike Riley’s first year that players were reverting back to what they knew from the previous regime and contacting them with questions, too. Obviously, that caused some issues and a poor season ensued—the lack of trust was early apparently
  • Some fans wouldn’t mind if the WRs kept in contact with Keith Williams since he works with so many NFL WRs…and there was a picture recently with Stanley Morgan with a group of WRs with Williams…do you think that bothers Frost and staff?

  • Which QB on Nebraska’s schedule scares you the most this year?
  • I saw Nebraska Mike Williams working with former Huskers WR coach Keith Williams over the weekend. Does that bother you?
  • Bull or No Bull

December 8th: Collin Schuck (PBP Voice of Lincoln Stars)

December 8th: Cary Cochran (Former Nebrasketball SG)

-What are your impressions of this team through 10 games? Bound for inconsistency all year, or can they play like Tuesday’s version more often than not?

-Why can’t Tim Miles get over the hump against Creighton? Any belief he can end the 6-game skid tomorrow vs. the Bluejays?

-Does Nebraska have a bonafide trio of scorers (Watson/Palmer/Copeland) or are there still concerns there?

December 8th: Troy Walters and Sean Beckton appear headed to Lincoln to round out Scott Frost’s staff, which means no Keith Williams…why does that continue to upset people?

-This means that Scott Frost is bringing his entire staff with him—you know, the staff that turned an 0-12 squad to 12-0 within 2 years, and with 51 of the players enduring both of those seasons. Why wouldn’t you want all of those guys? WINNERS WIN

-Keith Williams recruited well and trained NFL wide receivers, but people need to stop saying he is irreplaceable. He came from Tulane. Has never been terribly heralded. Good coach? Absolutely. But someone who is absolutely a necessity to the staff? No way. Position coaches are always replaceable.

-Also—Mike Riley back to Oregon State as assistant head coach…
