-Delano Banton is keeping his name in the NBA Draft…surprised by this? What’s the point guard answer next year now?

-NIL has already hit Nebrasketball with a podcast coming for the McGowens brothers…anything else on the horizon? What going forward will keep attracting high-level players with NIL?

Sip and Jake take a deeper dive into NIL following the Manning prediction

-The high dollar figure Rovell placed on Manning has caused many in the sports media to reflect on NIL further…what issues do Sip and Jake see in paying unproven recruits big money?

-What factors should go into and impact a player’s marketability and value? Should businesses emphasize proven production, social media audience, intangible star power or pro prospects?

-NIL will certainly change the pitches coaches offer recruits across all sports…will every coach be able to adapt to the new landscape of college sports?

Darren Rovell predicts Arch Manning could make $10 million as a freshman in college

-As NIL rolls out, predictions are flying wildly. One eye-popping prediction came on the Dan Patrick show as Darren Rovell said he believes nephew of Peyton & Eli, Arch Manning, could make $10 million dollars before throwing a collegiate pass. Does this show the ridiculousness of new NIL policy?

Rick Kaczenski (Former Nebraska/Iowa DL coach)

-With NIL now in place…what matters more in recruiting: a relationship with a coach/school, or how much a player can get in sponsorships?

-How would you fare if your conversations in recruiting were more about potential money made from sponsors vs. believing in your coaching staff?

-Phil Steele ranked offensive position groups in the B1G and Nebraska only showed up in the top portion of the conference at one spot (QB)…how did we get to this point?

Show sponsored by GANA TRUCKING

Phil Steele’s assessment of Nebraska’s offensive talent compared to others in the B1G is eye-opening, to say the least

-Steele’s yearly preseason college football ‘bible’ came out last week, and although he has Nebraska having the 4th best QB room in the conference, nothing else on offense was ranked in the top part of the conference

-Wouldn’t it be nice if the team actually came out and proved this stuff wrong for once instead of confirming what is thought of before the season? Also, do you agree where they stand according to Steele’s rankings?

-Also, Jake received a good DM on potential Nebraska NIL opportunities for players…

Can Nebraska football regain a true home field advantage again?

-Sip wrote about it because Bill Moos addressed the importance of it, and he is right. Nebraska fans fill up Memorial Stadium, but it hasn’t been a terribly tough place for opponents to win for a long time

Nebraska is 21-17 at home since 2015, which is just terrible. And as Sip pointed out yesterday, that’s heavily skewed positively by the 7-0 record at home in 2016. Baddddddd otherwise

-Can fans get louder? The team needs to back up the fans being loud. Winning helps all.

Husker Baseball wrapped up their ‘pod’ series in Piscataway against Rutgers…how did they fare?

-We know Nebraska split with Indiana and won the first game against Rutgers, but Monday provided either a great series or just an OK one with a split.

Rick Kaczenski (Former Nebraska/Iowa DL coach)

-Nebraska has lost all 4 WRs from the class of 2019 to transfer…is that the way of life now or a reason to question the staff’s recruiting?

-Is there any reason why Adrian Martinez can’t be the BEST QB in the B1G this year?

-How would Kaz like recruiting in the current time of Name, Image and Likeness?

Show sponsored by GANA TRUCKING

How do you feel about Nebraska’s football staff’s recruiting ability?

-We addressed yesterday that Nebraska has 0 of 4 WRs from the 2019 class still on the roster, and 2018 was a big miss for that position, too

-As of yesterday, Nebraska has only 2 commits for 2022, which puts them at 67th in Rivals’ rankings, with 2 3-star players….to compare, Ohio State is 1st with 12 commits already, including 3 5-stars and 7 4-stars

-Rutgers is 11th with 11 commits already, 5 of which are 4-stars. Wisconsin has only 1 commit, and Iowa only has 2, so if you don’t want to panic, that’s good reason not to.
