Scott Frost addresses PJ Fleck’s comments and also discusses recruiting plans going forward

-Frost spoke yesterday and said he hadn’t heard the Fleck comments yet and thinks Nebraska’s culture is pretty strong and also said that Minnesota has good talent

-Also, Frost hit on a pretty important thing when talking about recruiting, saying they really want to focus on more guys that are ready to play vs. younger freshmen type players…maybe seeing 20 transfers at Michigan State result in a positive year helps out on that one

-Other takeaways from Frost’s media session Wednesday….

The Spillover with Connor Happer and Mike Schaefer

-Thoughts on Week 1 of college football? Most impressive and least impressive showings?

Let’s take a look around the B1G from Week 1 / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe)

-Iowa and Penn State had the big wins on Saturday, but don’t forget Purdue’s win over Oregon State…and YIKES to Illinois losing to Texas-San Antonio…that has to sting for Nebraska fans

-What is of interest this weekend in the conference?

Show sponsored by GANA TRUCKING

Where is your confidence level in this team heading into Buffalo on Saturday?

-Nebraska opens as an 11.5 point favorite, which Jake thinks seems a little high, but at least they’re viewed as the better team

-We saw Adrian Martinez pass well against Fordham, but can that happen against Buffalo? And can they continue to commit to the run like they did on Saturday?

-What do you do at punt returner going forward?

Show sponsored by GANA TRUCKING

Through one week of college football, it appears that Alabama is, once again, by far the best team in the sport

‘Bama rolled Miami on Saturday, without much of a push. Meanwhile, Oklahoma barely beat Tulane, Iowa State barely beat Northern Iowa, Georgia beat Clemson in a low-scoring game, but Texas A&M looked good….and Cincinnati! And MCKENZIE MILTON IS BACK!

Rick Kaczenski (Former Nebraska/Iowa DL coach)

-Nebraska wins a blowout against Fordham…can you learn anything from a game like that?

-Iowa routs Indiana, 34-6, and started the game with 2 pick 6s…why does their defense always seem good every year?

-Looks like another year where Alabama rules the roost…do you get sick of it?

Show sponsored by GANA TRUCKING

Nebraska gets a blowout win that they needed…did we learn anything or was it ‘just’ Fordham?

-It wasn’t pretty early on, as Nebraska’s offense wasn’t moving the ball and the defense wasn’t doing great, but by midway through the 2nd quarter, things started going their way and the blowout followed

-Was anything learned from the game? Maybe we can say that we’ve learned that Markese Stepp appears to be the clear No. 1 RB. What about Logan Smothers as the backup? And it was nice to see Austin Allen get some targets

-How about Samori Toure? Can he have that type of production against FBS teams? Needs to…look what Wan’Dale did for Kentucky on Saturday
