Early Break: Cary Cochran (Former Husker shooting guard)

  • Is Cary surprised by the response of the players on the coaching upgrade?
  • Thoughts on Hoiberg’s press conference, what should we expect during this recruiting cycle

Early Break: We’ve said before that a conference tournament run can’t blind you from what happened during the regular season

  • We just had the conversation earlier THIS WEEK about how even if Nebraska got on a run and won 3 games in the B1G Tournament, it shouldn’t take away the decision from Bill Moos on what to do with the basketball program going forward….did people believe that narrative going in, and if so, do they still feel that way?
  • It’s clear that Miles loves Nebraska and wants to be here, but it’s clear that this season was a disappointment, also. What gives? Are you blinded

Early Break: Tim Miles and Nebrasketball WON’T DIE! Huskers beat Maryland, to move on to the B1G Tournament quarterfinals

  • Depleted roster and all, Miles’ squad was able to keep Bruno Fernando in check (1-4, 3 points), and it was another great game from James Palmer, Glynn Watson, Isaiah Roby…and, Johnny Trueblood
  • Of all the teams you could play in the quarterfinals, Wisconsin is definitely the team you’d prefer the most (compared to Purdue, Michigan, and Michigan State). Can the momentum keep going today? Can you still stay out of foul trouble and not have James Palmer’s legs fall off from playing so many minutes? What a wild time

Early Break: More injuries for Nebrasketball! Amir Harris apparently has a leg injury and is questionable for B1G Tourney

  • Just what this team needed! More injuries! Harris had an MRI on Monday afternoon to look at his knee. Harris, of course, hit the game-winning lay-up against Iowa in Sunday’s thrilling 93-91 victory. He’d also been coming on as of late, and had 8 points and 10 rebounds against the Hawkeyes. So, not great for a team that’s lacking depth in general, and more so with injuries
  • What the heck does this team do now? All the walk-ons are going to need to play! If there is any foul trouble at all, it’s going to be one heck of a fun thing to watch against Rutgers tomorrow and in any upcoming games if they win

Early Break: Nebraska Hoops battle back from the dead to take down Iowa 93-91 on Senior Day

  • Nebraska scores 16 in the final 47 seconds to help send it to overtime
  • Watson and Palmer were fantastic in the crucial comeback with big threes and drives.
  • Good to see the fight in a team that could’ve easily given up.

Early Break: Will Nebraska basketball show up against Iowa?

  • Jake is dead inside for Husker Hoops… It is a very sad sight to see
  • Akenten is done for the season
  • What were some of the positives in the Tim Miles era?

Early Break: Hey, Nebrasketball played last night…how’d that go?

  • Huskers fall again against Michigan State as the Tim Miles era closes in on the end.
  • Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

Early Break: Robin Washut (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple

  • Nebraska is 13-point underdogs tonight at Michigan State, where they have no Nick Ward and no Joshua Langford. Any chance they keep it within 13? No Thomas Allen for Nebraska (ankle)
  • Will this team fight the next 3 games (including B1G Tournament) or just lay down and die?
  • Should Steve Pikiell seriously be considered for B1G Coach of the Year? And what about Craig Smith at Utah State
  • Shut Up Sipple:

Early Break: More on Husker basketball/ Shut up Sipple

  • Greg from Myrtle Beach chimes into the show
  • Michigan players say that they dislike Nebraska the most
  • Will people show up for the last game of the season?
  • Shut up Sipple

Early Break: Robin Washut (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple

  • Can Tim Miles keep the good mojo going tonight at Penn State and extend the win streak to 3 games?
  • Is Isaiah Roby becoming more confident behind the 3-point line? 8 attempts in the Northwestern game
  • Nebraska’s incoming recruiting class looks better day by day…what’s the scoop on Mika Adams-Woods and Jervay Green so far this season? And Akol Arop? How would coaching change affect them
  • Shut Up Sipple

Early Break: Husker basketball talk continues

  • Can Roby take the next step?
  • How far can the team go if Palmer struggles
  • Shut Up Sipple

Early Break: At what point would the Tim Miles discussion get back to being awkward, and how awkward would it be?

  • Nothing seemed awkward when Nebraska was riding a 7-game losing streak in what was supposed to be an easy stretch of play, as it seemed inevitable that Tim Miles would be fired at the end of the year.
    • That’s still a strong possibility, but what happens if the team goes on a run after Wednesday’s defeat of Minnesota?
  • Northwestern isn’t a terribly tough game tomorrow, and Penn State will be a test, but not unbeatable the following game. -What will it take for the conversation to get awkward again about whether or not Miles is fired?
