Sip is predicting some news to come today or tomorrow regarding Nebraska playing in Ireland…

-The 2021 game against Illinois got cancelled for Ireland, but it sounds like we’ll hear something soon regarding Nebraska playing Northwestern in 2022 in Ireland in Week Zero

-How many Guinesses will Sip drink out there?

-We know a few games of the 2021-22 schedule for Nebrasketball…when will we have an idea of the full non-conference schedule?

-We just had a great in-state run of talent with Hunter Sallis, Chuck Hepburn, and Max Murrell, with Isaac Traudt and Jasen Green still out there..are there signs of more good talent coming up?

-Thoughts on the class of 2021 for the Basketball Hall of Fame?

Is it too much to ask to have more touchbacks on special teams this year?

-Sam McKewon did a dive on special teams this weekend and noted the stunning difference of touchbacks by Nebraska compared to their opponents, and the success of running kicks back of opponents compared to Nebraska. The Huskers could have a lot more success simply by being able to kick through the end zone

-It’s amazing to see how much this one stat hurt Iowa State last year…and they addressed it in offseason

Imagine one of the faces of your franchise for 10 years…signing with your RIVAL

-Ryan Kerrigan signed a one-year deal with the Eagles on Monday, following 10 years as one of the faces of the Washington Redskins/Football Team…and this is his first time on a new team. How could he go there? Jake had a tough time when Jason Taylor went to the Jets…

Rick Kaczenski (Former Nebraska/Iowa DL coach)

-There is some belief that Ohio State might have 4-5 first round WRs on their team right now…how does this conference compete with that?

-From a coaches’ point of view, how many years should it take before a coach and staff are truly put on a ‘hot seat’?

-Is Kaz going to come back and watch Garth Brooks at Memorial Stadium?

Do Nebraska fans care what Paul Finebaum says or is he just shouting into the wind?

-Finebaum, once again, said Monday that he believes Scott Frost should be on the hot seat heading into this year. Many will agree, but probably not the majority of fans. How about our listeners?

-Also—per Sean Callahan, Nebraska looks to be trying to go after defensive backs in the transfer portal…we thought that was their best position on the team?

We play a card game.

The Recruiting Hour: March 25th – Mike Sautter

Mike Sautter of NEB preps joins the show!

  • Hunter Sallis commits tomorrow
  • Ja Morant is getting involved in Saint Thomas’ recruitment — who are the other options?

The Recruiting Hour: March 15th – Opening Segment

  • NebPreps Boys High School Basketball State Tournament
  • Happer and DP did such a great job calling those games this last week
  • Chucky Hepburn and Hunter Sallis were a treat to watch

We’ve talked about how good the current high school basketball talent is in the state…but the football talent is damn good also, but will they stick around?

-We all know about basketball with Hunter Sallis, Chucky Hepburn, Isaac Traudt, and more…and none of them will likely end up at Nebraska. But Sam McKewon wrote the other day about the football talent for the class of 2022 and it’s one of the best ever in Nebraska, with players like Deshawn Woods, Ernest Hausmann, Kaden Helms, Devon Jackson, and Micah Riley-Ducker all having double-digit offers…

-Also, Sip gets his wish…a BIG MAN commits to Nebrasketball! Blaise Keita…2022 JUCO big man

If you wanted good news this weekend, Hunter Sallis didn’t deliver it to you: Nebrasketball doesn’t make the top 12 (!) of his first cut of choices

-OUCH. First, there was news on Friday that Sallis had an offer from Kentucky, which would be hard to pass up. But then, not only was Nebraska not on his Top 12…but Creighton (who we haven’t heard much about in his pursuit) showed up, albeit unlikely that he goes there

-We knew it would be hard to get him to commit to Nebraska…but not even in his top 12? Does it ease the pain of not getting him with knowing that off the bat?

-Cam Mack withdraws his name from the draft and now is hearing from small schools like East Carolina, New Mexico State, UTEP, Rhode Island and others…what does his future look like?

-Does the lack of success from highly-ranked JUCOs (Cam Mack, Jervay Green) steer Nebrasketball from recruiting those hard going forward?

-Nebraska gets 2 players (Davis twins) taken in Day 3 of the NFL Draft…what happened to Lamar Jackson?
