To Trade or Not to Trade Aaron Rodgers, Part 2

-Jake and Big Sky continue their discussion on the Aaron Rodgers situation in Green Bay. As a Packers fan, Big Sky wants him gone…Jake thinks that is ridiculous. Who’s more convincing?

-The whole situation depends on one thing. Can Jordan Love play?

Who are the difference-makers for Nebraska?

-A texter chimes in and points out that the last difference-maker at Nebraska was Suh in 2009. Sip and Jake talk about how a lack of these types of players has affected Nebraska.

-This topic raises the question…does Nebraska have a player development issue?

-Would a consistent system and unified culture solve the issue?’s post-spring Top 25 rankings for 2021 have Nebraska facing 4 Top 25 teams this upcoming year…what game is the most winnable/important for the Huskers?

-Oklahoma is No. 1 (!!) in the polls, with Ohio State at No. 5, Iowa at No. 14, and Wisconsin at No. 18. Nebraska plays the last 3 of those all in the month of November. Fun!

-What’s more telling about this poll is where some teams Nebraska should absolutely be in the same conversation as every year are ranked. Iowa State is 6th, Cincinnati is 9th, Indiana is 11th, Louisiana-Lafayette is 16th (!!), and Coastal Carolina is 21st. We saw these teams have success last year and the past few years, but it’s still stunning to see those numbers by them

A cryptic tweet by Packers WR Davante Adams might make their fans more nervous about an Aaron Rodgers departure…

-Adams tweeted out on Monday, “Gotta appreciate what you got while ya got it!”, which caused many to believe it’s in reference to a potential upcoming move for Aaron Rodgers to go elsewhere

-How would people view the Packers if they decide to trade him? Whose side are YOU on?

Scott Frost says the coaching staff will stay as it currently is for 2021…

-Frost talked to the Journal Star on a Zoom session on Friday and confirmed that the 10 main assistant coaches will all remain for 2021, and that he’ll split coordinating duties with Matt Lubick

-Many people are upset about this, but Jake cautions the anger and to look at Northwestern before we start to complain too much…they NEVER change assistants in good seasons or bad…and they are good more often than not. Can we learn from them on how to stick with things instead of always panicking?

-Also, the Super Bowl matchup is set…is it what we wanted to see? How were the championship games?
