The Top 10 most watched non-football sporting events since 2019 provide some interesting results..

-This year’s Gonzaga/Baylor NCAA Championship game was 1st with just shy of 17 million viewers, and other college basketball games made the list

-No NBA games made the list, but a few World Series games did…hmmmmm…

What If Wednesday: What if Nebraska hadn’t choked the ending of the Iowa game in 2019 and got to a bowl game?

-The summer series returns with a painful question! Nebraska, of course, was 5-6 entering that game, and needed a win to get to a bowl game. The game was tied, late 4th quarter, with Nebraska on the move at midfield…but then Iowa got the ball back and won in regulation, ending Nebraska’s season

-Several reasons why that is a ‘what if’: Nebraska could have ended their losing streak to Iowa, and could have gotten to a bowl game in Frost’s 2nd year, which is the goal Bill Moos had before the season that Frost scoffed at. Instead, we now enter the 4th year of Frost without a bowl appearance, after skipping last year, too

Travel is opening up across the country..but are Husker fans planning on making the trek to road venues this year?

-It’s interesting; no fans could attend games last year, and there’s still uncertainty in terms of attendance for all venues across the nation. You’re hearing more and more teams say they plan on 100% capacity, but nothing is known for sure yet

-And if fans are able to go to Norman to play Oklahoma against a (possibly) No. 1 ranked team…are you making that trip still?

-Also, happy Cinco de Mayo, which has to be one of Sip’s favorite days of the year because of his love for margaritas

The Pioneer League just found a way to make baseball COOL again…and college football made changes recently, too….can you embrace it?

-The Pioneer League, and independent baseball league, announced yesterday that they won’t play extra-inning games this season, but will instead do a head-to-head sudden death home run derby with a player from each team getting 5 pitches. OH MY GOD IT’S AMAZING

-This likely would never make it to the big leagues or even college baseball, but what a concept. You want to grow the game of baseball? Bring back scoring. Emphasize home runs. This could be incredible

-Same goes for college football—they are now having 2-point conversions be how OT is decided in the 3rd OT and beyond….speeds up the game and makes every play that much more dramatic. Change is good, right?

Nebraska will break ground on its new football facility Friday…do facilities actually help in recruiting?

-Bill Moos spoke on the Husker Sports Network last night…what did we learn from the on-air appearance?

-Bill Moos and Scott Frost have stressed the importance of having top tier facilities to assist in recruiting…with construction on Nebraska’s new football training facility beginning on Friday, can fans actually expect to notice the affects of the new facility?

-Also, we could be headed toward Jake meltdown territory tomorrow if the Dolphins end up taking LT Penei Sewell at pick No. 6 instead of a stud WR or Kyle Pitts (if he’s still there)…Jake’s 30s might end up being like all the other years!!
