Are highly-ranked recruiting classes more important to a team’s success more than ever before?

  • Sip has brought up good points recently that the trend of college football is that National Champions are always highly-ranked recruiting classes and typically in the south
  • The B1G is certainly getting better with recruiting and is getting several teams in the top 10 over the past few years…is Nebraska always bound to be an outlier? Can a team like Wisconsin and Nebraska win a National Championship in today’s college football? Wisconsin is always a good team that gets close, nut is not quite there when it comes to the absolute best of the best of college football

March 20th: Does any part of you wish that Tyronn Lue’s first NBA head coaching job was not with LeBron and the Cavs?

-Lue announced yesterday that he was going to take time off to get healthier, as he says he hasn’t been right this season….seems like a stress issue. He DID win a title 2 years ago as the Cavs coach, but was this the best job for him to start with?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

March 20th: Is Greg Bell the most intriguing Husker this spring/fall outside of the 3 QBs?

-The Journal Star’s list of intriguing players says just that, putting Bell at 4th, behind O’Brien/Gebbia/Martinez.

-Are you expecting him to take the reins right away and leave everyone in the dust? Why is he so intriguing? If Maurice Washington makes it to campus and is eligible, does he have a chance in the RB race? Also, ranking the QBs in order of intrigue

March 20th: If Nebrasketball ever makes a Sweet 16 before Creighton does, will all the pain and suffering have been worth it?

-Per the World-Herald’s Jon Nyatawa, Creighton has the most appearances in the NCAA Tournament since 1999 without making it to the Sweet 16 (12 appearances)

-Creighton has owned Tim Miles and Nebraska for quite some time, and obviously have made the NCAAs more often than not. But if Nebraska made the Dance next year and won 2 games, while Creighton choked again, would the suffering have been worth it for all these decades?
