Early Break with Sip & Jake leads off each weekday morning on 93.7 The Ticket from 6-8am. Jake Sorensen has been a staple of Lincoln morning sports talk since 2012, originally on ‘Morning Take’ from 7-8am, before the show expanded to 2 hours in late 2015. Jake is full of energy every morning, and brings the ‘view of the fan’ to the show, compared to his counterpart, the Lincoln Journal Star’s Steve Sipple, who brings in a balanced, journalistic approach. Jake is a diehard Miami Dolphins fan and avid golfer, and you’ll hear him talk about both plenty during the show. His daily Song of the Day and ‘Shut Up Sipple’ game show topics are where he most displays his creativity.
Steve Sipple has been a key voice in Nebraska athletics for 25+ years as the lead sports columnist for the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper for most of those years. Sip is beloved across the state for his ability to make fun of himself despite being such a recognizable figure in the sports scape not only in the state, but in the region. Sip has been on the show since May 2016 and instantaneously clicked with Jake and listeners, and the show continues to grow in popularity daily.
Wake up, pour yourself a cup of coffee, and catch Early Break each weekday from 6-8am.
