Northwestern is getting no love again this preseason but they’re sure to sneak up on teams again…why do they never get respect?

Northwestern has won 15 or their last 16 regular season conference games, won the B1G West by 3 games last year…and is expected to finish anywhere from 3^rd to 5^th in the West this year.
They play Stanford to open the year, two similar programs…why does Stanford get more love than Northwestern nationally?
