Nebraska native Nate Lashley overcomes incredible odds to win on the PGA Tour on Sunday…can he provide something for fans to consistently root for locally?

-What an incredible story; Lashley was the 3rd alternate for the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, yet was informed midday Wednesday that he would be playing, and all he went on to do was lead the tournament wire-to-wire, shooting 25-under par to win by 6 strokes over a field that included players like Rickie Fowler, Patrick Reed, Hideki Matsuyama, Brandt Snedeker, and more

-Lashley’s story is amazingly sad; his parents and his girlfriend died in a plane crash on the way back from an event of his in college; he quit the game and was flipping houses for a while; came back and joined the tour in his mid-30s after lots of mini tours; and now he’s playing in the Masters next year. Wow.
