Here’s another reason why Nebraska needs to find a killer instinct ASAP: they can’t afford to be in close games with their current kicker problem

-We’ve discussed the desire to have Nebraska blow out a team and not be in uncomfortable situations late in games if that’s not necessary; well, we just saw on Saturday what happens when you mess around in the second half and it becomes tight, and Colorado had a kicker; Nebraska didn’t

-Jovann Dewitt said yesterday that Barret Pickering did light kicking, but is still not ready to be back yet. That leaves Isaac Armstrong as the starter, and Will Pryzstup as the back-up; two punters doing the kicking. That worked with guys in the past like Alex Henery and Brett Maher, but they were known more as kickers. Does the question marks here make the team know they can’t mess around again?
