Husker Hoops loses their 5th straight. Are you seeing enough growth? / Shut Up Sipple

Have you ever been at taken aback or stunned about a tragic happening as what happened yesterday?

  • Nebraskans, of course, have a few stunning moments—the passing of Brook Berringer and also of Sam Foltz—which rocked the fanbase to the core, as both players were fantastic human beings and adored by their teammates and fans
  • The collective worldwide outpour from the Kobe news just made a stunning situation stand out more as completely shocking. This wasn’t a person who was fighting a drug/alcohol issue who had maybe fallen off the deep end; it wasn’t a player facing a crippling disease; it wasn’t a person that was of old age. It was a man in his prime who was contributing as a businessman and a father.

The craziest trade that could ever possibly happen in the NBA happened on Friday

  • Nebrasketball never has anyone represented in the league, ever—yet on Friday, Isaiah Roby was traded from the Mavericks to the Thunder for….former Creighton center Justin Patton. What kind of sick joke is this?

Nebrasketball comes close to notching a conference road win, but falls to Rutgers, 75-72

  • It was another interesting game for Nebraska; much like the Wisconsin game, the Huskers played really well for the first 20 minutes, and then got off to a rough start in the 2nd half, before battling back…and eventually actually had a 6 point lead (72-66) before they went cold from the field, and Rutgers hit big shots, including Geo Baker’s go-ahead 3-pointer with 1.5 seconds remaining
  • Losing is not fun and it’s hard on fans, but you watch that game and see growth from Nebraska. Rutgers is a pretty solid team with some big dudes, and Nebraska found a way to score in the paint, and had a much better effort than they did when they played Rutgers in Lincoln to start off 2020
