Jason Garrett has been told he’s no longer the Cowboys coach….but won’t stop pleading his case

-Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported on Sunday morning that even though Garrett had been told by Jerry Jones and the Cowboys that they’re moving on from him, he won’t give up his case as to why he should be retained…even though Mike McCarthy and Marvin Lewis have been interviewed…what a bizarre story

Nebrasketball gets smacked around by more physical Rutgers team in loss at PBA / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe)

-Nebraska led early, then gave up an 18-1 run in the first half that they never came back from, and lost to Rutgers, 79-62, on Friday night. Rutgers had 52 points in the paint and outrebounded Nebraska by 17. The worst part for the Huskers? Rutgers won easily without their best player (Geo Baker). Not a great start to the new year. Up next: home against Iowa tomorrow night

Feeling nervous about next season with how the B1G has looked in bowl season? Join the club

-Sip wrote about it in the Journal Star over the weekend, and it all seems pretty valid for reasons for concern. Minnesota looked the part in a big win over Auburn; Wisconsin looked solid despite losing to Oregon; Iowa buried USC; Penn State scored a million points on Memphis; and don’t forget about early-season 2020 opponent Cincinnati having no issues against Boston College. Will this ever be easy here?

The first round of the NFL Playoffs was more than just the Patriots loss…what incredible drama all the way throughout

-Game 1 had the Bills blow a 16-0 lead and lose to the Texans, 22-19, in OT…then the Patriots/Titans game…and then the stunner on Sunday in New Orleans with the Vikings beating the Saints, 26-20, in OT…and the last game with Eagles/Seahawks. What a treat

Maurice Washington officially no longer with the Nebraska football program

-It’s news that no one is terribly surprised about, but it’s still a big loss for a team that relied heavily on him at times over the past 2 seasons

-How confident are you in Dedrick Mills and young guys like Rahmir Johnson, Sevion Morrison, and Marvin Scott to fill the void that Washington leaves?
