Nebraska womens sports

– Nebraska had a great weekend in………. womens sports. We talk about what happened between the womens basketball win and the thrilling come from behind win for the volleyball team.

-What will we hear from Frost and crew today at the weekly press conference?

Nebrasketball gets their first win of the year in impressive fashion against South Dakota State/ Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe)

-Husker hoops led from start to finish on Friday night against the Jackrabbits, winning 90-73, and looking impressive in doing so. Cam Mack was exceptional, and Haanif Cheatham, Kevin Cross, and others looked good as well. Is this more of what we should expect to look for going forward, or just a one night good outing for the squad?

-Also more talk about Saturday’s game.

Despite the loss to Wisconsin, are you convinced that Nebraska played well enough to build off it and win 2 more games to get to a bowl game?

-As Frost mentioned, the defense needs to improve (tackling….yikes), but the offense showed lots of signs of life without Wan’Dale Robinson

-Maryland is up next, and they just aren’t very good. And then there’s Iowa, who just knocked off Minnesota, 23-19, on Saturday, taking the Gophers from the unbeaten ranks. How are we feeling about that game as Nebraska is in must-win mode to get to a bowl game in the season’s final 2 weeks?

-Also Jake is mad and refuses to play Take It Easy by the Eagles for himself…. find out why

Tua Tagovailoa fractures hip and is out for the season….a huge hit for Alabama, and a huge question mark for the NFL Draft

-Tua was hurt at the end of the first half against Ole Miss, with Alabama leading 35-7 (Nick Saban said he was running a 2-minute drill before he would be taken out for the rest of the game), but he landed awkwardly on his hip, and learned that it was broken, and he’ll miss the rest of the year. Is Alabama now doomed in the CFP, and how much does this affect ‘Tank for Tua’ in the NFL Draft?

Also, SONG OF THE DAY (sponsored by Sartor Hamann Jewelers):

Scott Frost gets a 2-year contract extension through 2026…all in favor, or questionable timing on the move?

-We learned of this extension early Saturday morning before the Wisconsin game, which drew a lot of attention nationally, on the premise of the question of why he deserved an extension despite being only 8-14 in 22 games at Nebraska—numbers that just got Willie Taggart fired at Florida State

-Is the general sentiment that it was a good move by Bill Moos/Ronnie Green, or too early to do so?
