We close today’s show with some kudos for fellow B1G teams who deserve it

-Illinois beat Rutgers, 38-10, to move to 5-4…and with games against Northwestern and Michigan State still left this season, they appear to be headed for a bowl game

-Also, Indiana blasts Northwestern, 34-3, to move to 7-2….how about the Hoosiers?

-AND…Ohio State opens as a 44-point favorite (!!!) against Maryland this week

Nebraska can’t stop opposing QBs from running, no matter how immobile they appear / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe)

-Jack Plummer wasn’t considered a ‘mobile’ QB, yet before his injury, he was killing Nebraska on the ground, after missed sacks and more. The gift that keeps on giving. How does that change?

A bowl game seems very, very unlikely now for Nebraska….where are fans at with their panic button?

-It’s pretty eye-opening to see a change like we just saw at Florida State so quickly, but we live in an impatient society. But even if Nebraska fans are patient, they can still be concerned about issues that are still cropping up 21 games into the Scott Frost era

-Are we asking for coaching changes? SHOULD we be? Or is that just your typical “things aren’t going well, we need to fire someone” overreaction? Regardless, there has to be SOME concern, even with the super patient portion of the fanbase. Purdue is not good! Not this year, at least. And a (likely) third straight year without a bowl game? Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikes.

We already have a big-time firing in college football—adios to Willie Taggart at Florida State

-Taggart was in the second year of his tenure at Florida State—hired the same year as Scott Frost, after the 2017 season—and was let go on Sunday, following a 27-10 loss to Miami (FL) on Saturday that dropped the Seminoles to 4-5. Similar record to Scott Frost, but no patience…who goes there?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY (sponsored by Sartor Hamann Jewelers):

Nebraska now enters a second bye week with some questions to answer at the QB position

-You know it’s been a bizarre year when there is a QB controversy at Nebraska. Adrian Martinez was seen as a HEISMAN (!!) candidate before the year, and now, with injury issues for a few weeks and a poor performance against Purdue, one has to question whether Nebraska has the right guy currently starting. Right? Overreaction? He missed a lot of open WRs/TEs all game long…

-The final 3 games will say a lot regarding how we will view the position and ‘competition’ going into 2020…
