2 minute drill

-Due to a listener’s request we discuss if the horns used in Shut Up Sipple are outdated, also what happened in Monday Night Football?

-Nebrasketball looked a lot better on Friday, beating South Dakota State, 90-73, for Fred Hoiberg’s first win with the program…what were the biggest takeaways?

-Kevin Cross seems to already have a fan club being built with his 3 game start so far…is he for real?

-Nebraska hosts Southern this weekend and then heads to the Cayman Islands…what to expect?

Frost believes Nebraska should we able to win more games if they hold teams to 30 points or less…is it as simple as that?

-Frost mentioned that Oregon was about 61-2 when they scored 31 or more points while he was there. The Pac-12 is a little different than the Big Ten, though…and it’s not generally as easy to score in this conference

-Is that number possible for Nebraska? Can the offense consistently put up 31+ points every game in this conference? It seems very possible, but it hasn’t been the case so far

-More from Frost/players…

Let’s take a quick break from sports to make fun of South Dakota and poor marketing for a second

-South Dakota launched a new anti-meth ad campaign that’s costing $449,000….and the motto is, “Meth. We’re On It.” Uh…………

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY (sponsored by Sartor Hamann Jewelers):

Rick Kaczenski (Former Nebraska DL coach)

-Nebraska lost by 16 points to Wisconsin, but the offense put up almost 500 yards of offense against an elite defense…how do you feel about the final 2 games ahead?

-Nebraska missed 19 tackles against the Badgers…how can that be a problem this late in the season, and how does it get fixed?

-Why did it take Dedrick Mills 10 games to become a factor with this offense?

Scott Frost confirmed yesterday why it’s important for Nebraska to win their final 2 games to get to a bowl game

-Frost said Nebraska needs to win, and that too many guys are comfortable with not winning. This was what Jake (and Sip agreed with) said all summer long about the high expectations from the national media for Nebraska….they finished last year strong, but still had been 4-8 in two consecutive years

-It’s hard to expect Nebraska to just turn it around next year if they lose one or both of the next two games…say all you want about bowl momentum being real or not, but there would undoubtedly be more buy-in and belief within the team for 2020 and beyond if they stand up now with their backs against the wall
