Could we possibly see an Oklahoma QB win the Heisman for the 3rd straight year?

-Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa is still the favorite to win the award as of Monday, but Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts is right behind him at 2nd, tied with LSU’s Joe Burrow. Hurts will have to keep putting up remarkable numbers to get him to actually win the award….but he’s right there. How is Lincoln Riley not coaching in the NFL somewhere?

When do gains in the weight room start translating to more physicality on the football field?

-So much has been made about how Nebraska’s gotten so much stronger in the weight room under Frost and Zach Duval, compared to what was going on in the Mike Riley era. So when does that start translating to Nebraska being able to push teams around?

-That might be the most disappointing thing about the season so far, in a long list of disappointments. Nebraska’s run defense looked improved for a while, but the Minnesota game brought things back to reality. The offensive line is getting no push against anyone. But they’re stronger than they’ve ever been. Why does that not show on the football field?

Let’s reassess the Big Ten West going forward…is it still Wisconsin’s, or can Minnesota push them?

-Was Minnesota’s performance more indicative of Nebraska’s demise in that game, or maybe that they’ve found something offensively? Can the Gophers get to Indianapolis instead of the Badgers?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY (sponsored by Sartor Hamann Jewelers):

It’s clear that Nebraska has a ways to go in recruiting…do they know what system they’re recruiting to, or are changes on the horizon?

-This is a big week for coaches to get on the road and try to make some gains in recruiting during the bye week, but one has to wonder what goes on in Scott Frost’s head when he sees games like the Minnesota game happen. Last year, Nebraska beat the Gophers badly, and held their own against Wisconsin and Iowa…but those games look like bears this year. Are there any revisions coming to the type of players Frost needs to recruit to win in Lincoln?
