How will you judge the rest of the season for Nebraska?

Snap issues, red shirting players and more from Monday

Here’s your first baseball segment of the year: the Twins’ playoff win drought is unbelievable

-Entering Monday night, the Twins had lost 16 (!!!!) straight postseason games. 16 straight!!!

-Is there anything comparable to that in sports in terms of being successful except for playoffs?

-We’re at the midway point of the season (already)…how would you assess the year so far?

-Do you expect Adrian Martinez to play on Saturday? And should he even play if it’s a close call on his health?

-Which team does a cold, snowy game favor on Saturday if that is indeed what happens?

We’re at the halfway point of the season….what’s your assessment so far of progress and where things are going?

-Nebraska is 8-4 in their last full season of games, going back to the first win last season after the 0-6 start to the Frost era. 2 of the losses are to Ohio State, one to Iowa on a close last-second loss on the road, and the other a loss in OT to Colorado. What’s the assessment of the last 12 games? And also…for this season…what’s our assessment after 6 games?

-What’s the biggest question facing Nebraska going forward under Frost, and what’s been the biggest area of progress?

Impatience and lack of loyalty has been an issue in sports in recent years…but the Washington Redskins are perhaps too loyal and patient

-The Redskins fired head coach Jay Gruden on Monday, in the midst of his 5th season with the franchise…yet retained GM Bruce Allen. His record as the Redskins GM in his 9th season on the job? 59-89-1. In what world is that record worthy of being retained for that long?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY (sponsored by Sartor Hamann Jewelers):

How much can we rely on Maurice Washington going forward this season?

-Frost said Washington was suspended for the first half against Northwestern for a violation of team rules, and then he didn’t do much in the second half, netting negative yardage. He hasn’t played a full game for a long time, whether that’s for injury or suspensions, but has been vital to the offense’s success when he’s played. How much can we trust him to be there when Nebraska needs him?
