Nebraska is going to unveil a Spanish broadcast of the games this weekend and it will be awesome

-Scott Frost admitted Monday that he took 3 years of Spanish in high school and actually enjoyed it, but also said that he didn’t retain it much; Jake took 8 years of Spanish and although he also is ‘losing’ it, he looks forward to catching the broadcast to see how it sounds….how many Spanish words does Sip know?

-At 3-2, Nebraska is certainly off to a better start than last year, but the Ohio State loss was obviously deflating in the way that it happened

-A statement from the NCAA regarding California Senate Bill 206

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY (sponsored by Sartor Hamann Jewelers):

Scott Frost has some thoughts on a California bill that will allow players to receive money for their likeness

-California governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill on Monday that will allow athletes in the state to earn money from the use of their names, images and likenesses

-Frost didn’t seem very supportive of it on Monday, saying that it sounds great for the athletes, but it drains the money of the university quickly when you think about paying ALL student athletes there, and many schools simply wouldn’t survive it

Northwestern brings another good defense to the table this weekend…will Adrian Martinez and the offense be able to rebound?

-Scott Frost was extremely supportive of Martinez on Monday, saying that his poor statistical performance on Saturday could not be blamed squarely on him, noting poor offensive line play and a lack of open receivers as well

-Northwestern’s defense is good once again, and made Wisconsin’s offense look just average on Saturday…do you believe Martinez and company can shake off a bad performance and get on track vs. a quality defense, or are more struggles ahead?
