Joe Burrow leads LSU to a big win over Texas, and Minnesota survives in Fresno

-How about Burrow and Ed Orgeron going into Austin, and putting up almost 500 yards passing. THAT’S an LSU we haven’t seen in a long time, if ever. Is LSU a team to watch in the SEC?

-Also, Minnesota survives a scary game on the road and beats Fresno State in OT….Gophers are 2-0, and that’s a better win than people might want to say

Through two games, it’s pretty evident that Maurice Washington is Nebraska’s best RB / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe)

-Dedrick Mills ran 8 times for 24 yards, and had 2 catches for 21 yards, compared to Washington’s 15 carries for 77 yards, and 4 catches for 112 yards. Washington also has explosion that Mills doesn’t have. Is it clear that Maurice should be the main back, or does Sip think Mills should get more chances?

-Also, it was nice to see Adrian back in the running game again…better than last week…

Are you worried about Nebraska’s mental toughness to bounce back following this loss or does this affect your thoughts on how the season will go?

-ESPN’s stats guy, Bill Connelly, dropped Nebraska’s chances of going to a bowl game from 79% to 40% following the loss to Colorado. That’s quite a change in perception of how a season goes

-Do you feel like the season is headed the wrong direction, or do you have faith in Frost to figure it out? Note Northwestern last year, losing non-conference games to Akron, Duke, and Notre Dame, but going 8-1 in conference play to win the division. Iowa and Wisconsin look good so far, is Nebraska going to be at their level when the play them?

-You have to wonder about Nebraska’s ability to close out a game. Look at last year against Northwestern. Similar story on Saturday.

NFL Week 1 made Jake question why in the hell he supports the Dolphins anymore

-The Dolphins lost to the Ravens, 59-10, giving up the most yards in franchise history and the 2nd most points in franchise history. The goal is to tank to get a high draft pick, but this is a bit much. Why should anyone attend any games?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY (sponsored by Sartor Hamann Jewelers):

Nebraska’s offensive line was poor in the second half, but where are the wide receivers?

-Nebraska’s offense looked great in the first half for the most part, with Martinez having plenty of time to throw, and making good reads. In the second half, the protection wasn’t as good, but also it seemed like receivers weren’t open, or Martinez just wasn’t as confident in his reads. Does Nebraska have a WR problem? Is this offense going to be up and down, or can it be good for a full game?

-We will get to the offensive line more in the second hour
