Fourth of July tomorrow….what’s on Jake and Sip’s menu for the holiday?

-Jake is headed to Fremont for the day, where it’s beer, burgers and brats…what’s Sip doing? And is HE the one grilling or is his wife doing that role?

-Best 4th of July foods are ____________________

How soon will Scott Frost be mentioned in the Lincoln Riley conversation as coaches the NFL wants to poach? /Shut-up Sipple

-JAKE, HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO US?! Jake saw a little video on ESPN yesterday that listed Ryan Day and Lincoln Riley as 2 guys that might get poached to the NFL soon, and thought that if Ryan Day is already in that conversation, then Frost will soon, too

-Offensive geniuses get the call to the big leagues pretty quickly, and that’s what Frost is seen as. Could Fred Hoiberg give Frost advice on maybe why he should stay in the college ranks after Hoiberg’s overall mediocre time in Chicago?

Bruce Feldman refers to Mario Verduzco as the most unique person he’s ever met in football…who else would Sip put in that category?

-Feldman, of The Athletic, wrote a nice piece about Verduzco and how he goes about coaching the QB position and all the other ins and outs of his life…good read, for sure

-Verduzco certainly is up there for interesting guys…who else has Sip endured in his time covering the teams that he views as ‘unique/interesting’?

Is there anything more patriotic than beating England in a huge sporting event right before Independence Day?

-That’s what happened yesterday with the U.S. Women’s National Team beating England, 2-1, to clinch their spot in the Finals of the World Cup. Alex Morgan scored a goal and pretending to be sipping tea—what a beautiful cocky celebration—what tops that for patriotism?!

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

Sean Callahan (Husker Online)

-Nebraska lands Blaise Gunnerson from Carroll, Iowa….what does he bring to the table for Erik Chinander and company?

-How much work does Nebraska still need to do in recruiting LBs after getting turned down by Cody Simon earlier in the week?

-Is Xavier Watts going to go to Notre Dame or do you think he stays with Nebraska?
