More thoughts on Colorado coach Mel Tucker’s comments about Nebraska and recruiting

-Tucker was critical of Nebraska’s success on the field recently, and curious why kids kept leaving CO….

Robin Washut (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple

-How soon does the entire roster get altogether before Nebrasketball heads off to Italy?

-Nebraska announces scrimmage at PBA on September 27th….expecting big crowd? And who is the music choice?!

-How much does the NCAA cracking down on immediate eligibility hurt Hoiberg’s recruiting and the actual current roster?

Who would you rather have: Blaise Gunnerson or Xavier Watts, for the sake of keeping in-state talent?

-Gunnerson, from Carroll, IA, is set to choose between Nebraska and Iowa State soon, as a linebacker that’s a huge position of need for Nebraska.

-However, Zavier Betts believes that WR Xavier Watts is going to choose Notre Dame, and leave Nebraska to do so…is it more important to lock the in-state player up, or is it more important to get Gunnerson (hypothetical choice)

Golden State Warriors decide to retire Kevin Durant’s number….is that deserved for him?

-Durant signed with the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night, and was only with Golden State for 3 seasons (2 which resulted in NBA titles)—yet CEO Joe Lacob announced Monday that his No. 35 jersey will be retired by Golden State….seems a bit bizarre, doesn’t it?

-Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

Lots of sports are playing more games out of country…do you wish Nebraska would ever do so?

-The Red Sox and Yankees played over the weekend in London in front of big crowds, and we’ve seen the NFL venture over to London and to Mexico for games, as well as college football playing some games in places like Ireland (see: Penn State/Ohio a few years ago)…would you want Nebraska to ever play a game in a foreign country?
