There’s a new commissioner in the B1G: Minnesota Vikings CEO Kevin Warren will replace Jim Delany

-Many people thought Northwestern AD Jim Phillips would be the next man in line to replace Delaney, but Warren was named as kind of a surprise choice to replace him yesterday, and will be introduced today as the new commissioner of the conference

-Warren has worked in the NFL in 20 of the past 23 years and will be the first African-American commissioner of a Power 5 conference

-What can he do in Delany’s footsteps?

In a surprise move to many, Darin Erstad steps down as Husker baseball head coach

-Erstad told reporters Monday night that he informed the team when they returned back from Oklahoma City that he was going to step down as head coach, so he could spend more time with his kids as they grow up

-Sip had just talked to Bill Moos recently and said he was a big fan of Erstad and that he was going nowhere unless he wanted to, so he left on his own terms; keep in mind, Nebraska was just one out away from making the regional final in OKC before the unfortunate 3-run HR and then the blowout loss to UConn that followed the next day

-Where does Nebraska go from here? Rob Childress? Will Bolt? Sorensen’s ideal hire of former Oregon State coach Pat Casey seems unlikely…anyone else that comes to mind that might get the job? How attractive is this job?
