Early Break: Hot Takes and Sipple’s feud continues

  • Sip continues to give Hot Take a hard time and Hot Take strikes back
  • Hot Take gives show grades.

Early Break: Parker Gabriel (Lincoln Journal Star) / Shut Up Sipple

  • Would you be surprised if Nebraska goes another year next season without getting a player drafted? Who has the best chance?
  • Who is Nebraska after right now for football recruits and who might commit soon, if anyone?

Early Break: What happens first: Nebraska football Big Ten Championship, or Nebrasketball Sweet 16 appearance?

  • One might say that the suggestion for Nebraska basketball should simply be winning ONE tournament game, but that still seems a lot easier than winning a Big Ten football championship. You know what would be cool, though? Having both things happen in the same year. Is that something that is 2-3 years away or more?
  • Basketball is a crapshoot, so Jake is going with that, since you can make the Sweet 16 as any seed in the dance. 12 seed? Many times in the Sweet 16. Don’t have to be an elite team to advance far in the Dance. You do, however, have to be pretty elite to win the Big Ten Championship (although Northwestern wasn’t elite last year and still had a chance to win the game)

Early Break: Is Nebraska baseball rising with Darin Erstad or has he plateaued?

  • Nebraska did win the Big Ten regular season championship in 2017, but lost to Yale and Holy Cross in the NCAA Tournament in an ugly end to the season. This year, they are third in the Big Ten, but are showing serious signs of a big fade. Is there any belief that Erstad knows how to make this a dangerous NCAA team?
  • Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

  • Could Nebraska football go 2 straight years without having a player drafted to the NFL?
  • What Husker undrafted free agent has the best chance of making it in the NFL?
