  • Jake and Hot Take try to take in the great Wisdom

Early Break: Are you always interested in the NFL Draft, or only when Huskers have a chance to go high? / Shut Up Sipple

  • Ameer Abdullah was the last guy that Nebraska’s had who was considered a potential first round pick (he went in the second round), so it’s fair to ask how much the NFL Draft has attracted Nebraskans to watch in recent years with not much to see for former Huskers
  • Are there enough people in the area who have NFL teams they support that the Draft is still highly-viewed here, even without Huskers? By the way, the draft begins this Thursday

Early Break: The Lincoln Journal Star has lots of questions for Husker football as we hit the offseason

  • Among the many questions that Sip and his colleagues are curious about are the status of Maurice Washington; how does Nebraska use its 2 open scholarships that remain in the 2019 class; how much attrition do we expect this summer; how good will the 2020 recruiting cycle be; can the defense continue its upward trend; and more. We’ll focus on a few of these throughout the week

Early Break: Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock are having issues with their scouts in Oakland

  • Jake has a bad back and needs your help
  • A report on Friday from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said that the Raiders’ Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock sent their scouts home for the weekend and aren’t expected to return by draft time, because they don’t know who to trust. Great times in Oakland!
  • Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

Early Break: Husker baseball takes Sunday’s game against Iowa, but loses the series, including an epic implosion on Saturday

  • Nebraska wasted another excellent outing by Matt Waldon on Friday (7.2 IP, 2 ER, 6K), losing 3-2, and then imploded on Saturday, falling 17-9, before winning 3-2 on Sunday to avoid the sweep
  • Darin Erstad says his guys competed all 3 days, and they did..except for the last innings of Saturday’s game…do you still have major concerns about this team’s chances of doing anything in the postseason?
