Why is the NFL so insistent on retreads and failed coaches getting another chance?

-There are 8 head coach openings in the NFL, and some names that are popping up for jobs are guys who have been fired recently (Adam Gase, Mike Munchak…..and yes, somehow, Kliff Kingsbury)

-Gase and Munchak are maybe understandable (did make playoffs once in their tenures)…but why is a guy like Vance Joseph (who went 11-21 in 2 seasons in Denver) getting an interview from the Bengals?

Robin Washut (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple

-What’s the deal with Isaiah Roby? Long-term issue or something they’re just being careful about?

-Can Nebraska compete with the big dogs of the conference and contend for the B1G title?

-What should we expect from Maryland tonight at the Xfinity Center?

B1G hoops season back in action tonight..can Nebrasketball really stay in the hunt with the big dogs in conference play?

-Michigan and Michigan State are having good years once again—it’s what they do. Nebraska was thought of before the season as a possible contender to win the conference, and they very well still might have that possibility—but can they keep momentum throughout the next 3 months in what will be a gauntlet of a schedule? Also, how serious is the Roby injury going forward?

-The first test comes tonight at Maryland (5:30pm tip)—the Terrapins aren’t considered one of the current elite teams in the conference….but they are still pretty dang good. Remember Bruno Fernando from last year? How do you stop THAT guy?

Is former Husker Zac Taylor the next up-and-coming coach in the NFL?

-The former Husker QB has been a hot name for 2 years now for head coaching openings, and will interview with the Cardinals and other teams…could he possibly be the next ‘guy’ in the NFL?

Assuming Dedrick Mills is still interested in signing with Nebraska, what should Scott Frost and the Huskers do?

-The Journal Star learned recently that the reason Mills didn’t sign with Nebraska in the early signing period is because he was in court because of a bench warrant from Mills not showing up to a court appearance for a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license (failure to appear in court in Georgia can be a felony)

-He was kicked off of Georgia Tech’s team for marijuana issues, and now he has legal issues here…would it be a bad look for Frost and company if they still took him? Do they care what anyone thinks?
