Archives for November 2018

Cary Cochran (Former Nebrasketball shooting guard)

-Were you surprised Nebraska pulled off the win at Clemson and how big is that for the team’s belief to get that type of win so early in the year?

-Going back to the Texas Tech game…was that an anomaly, or do you see more teams being able to stop Nebraska’s offense like that?

-James Palmer made 2 3-pointers against Clemson, but his efficiency is still poor….as a sharpshooter yourself, what do you see that’s wrong with his shot?

All-B1G teams are out, and Adrian Martinez lands Honorable Mention at QB, and Stanley Morgan is a 2nd teamer…cue the outrage!

-We asked throughout the year if Martinez was the best QB in the conference, and Dwayne Haskins finished strong to claim that spot, deservingly so—but was Martinez worse than Trace McSorley and David Blough when you look at the duration of the year? Because that’s what the awards say…

-Also, does Rondale Moore deserve All-B1G first team over Stanley Morgan? He’s reallllly good, yes, but who was the better and more important receiver in 2018?

-More thoughts on All-B1G offense selections…and can Nebraska eventually be on offense of these teams like Michigan is on defense?

Are you expecting Ohio State to boat race Northwestern on Saturday, or do you think the Wildcats will play a close game as always?

-On paper, it always appears like the Buckeyes should rout Northwestern; it rarely ends that way. They pretty much always win against Pat Fitzgerald, but it’s uncomfortable. What should we expect in Saturday’s B1G conference title game?

-Any commitments on the horizon for Nebraska in recruiting?

-What are the main areas Nebraska is targeting in the few weeks left before early Signing period?

-Should Nebraska expect to be in the B1G West title conversation next year?

Does this Nebrasketball team hold the key to fans’ belief that ‘next year’ has finally arrived for men’s athletics at UNL?

-The joke for Nebraska fans for years has been ‘next year,’ after a rough end to each respective season. And fans have rightfully so been pessimistic about the prospects of each program’s upcoming seasons and results in big games. Scott Frost made progress with football this year, but still resulted in a 4-8 record

-If Nebrasketball were to indeed make the NCAA Tournament and win at least one game this year, does that change the entire narrative of men’s athletics at Nebraska? It obviously will have no certain impact on baseball or football, but it *could* provide a belief barrier. This program that has never had a win in the NCAA Tournament finally gets one. Think about what that would do to fans’ belief in things turning around for all of the men’s programs…and administration, too
