Nebrasketball back in action tonight for BIG matchup against Clemson in B1G/ACC Challenge

-For some reason, Nebrasketball is once again at Clemson—why don’t they ever come here? Regardless, this is a Clemson team that Creighton beat on Wednesday in the Cayman Islands with a barrage of 3-pointers—not exactly Nebraska’s strength. Can they get the big road win tonight?

-How much can Nebraska’s defense improve in one offseason for next year…how much do they NEED to improve?

-Is it too much to expect Nebraska to contend for the West next year or is that a reasonable expectation?

Defense continues to be the most needed area for improvement…what needs to happen from now until next year to believe that unit will improve?

-Fans were grumbling about the defense’s inability to get off the field against Iowa, allowing several drives with long yardage and high amount of plays for scores, seeing Iowa dominate the trenches in doing so, and giving up a season-high of yardage to their RB, Mekhi Sargent

-Don’t forget, this is the first year of Erik Chinander. For people wanting him to be fired—come on. Did you see what Bob Diaco did with this unit last year? You have to admit there was progress and fight compared to last year, albeit still not a great year for the defense. So, what needs to change, and what reasonably can change?

-It seems that if people have high expectations for next year’s season, it goes as far as the defense allows them to. The offense seems like it’s on a prolific track, but the defense must be tougher and better

Michigan loses their playoff hopes in embarrassing loss at Ohio State….how does Jim Harbaugh explain this one?

-Yes, it was at Columbus….but allowing a career-high 62 points and 500+ yards of offense to the previously struggling Buckeyes? There were a couple of injuries for Michigan but they looked sloooowwww on defense….not a good luck for Harbaugh. Also—Ohio State or Oklahoma for CFP?

Did Nebraska show you enough to close the year to make you believe they’re ready to compete for the West next year?

-Scott Frost wasn’t thrilled about the difference in physicality between Nebraska and Iowa, so can that be fixed in one offseason on both offense and defense?

-One thing that makes you think Nebraska is ready: Adrian Martinez. Is his presence alone enough to make you think Nebraska should be in contention to win the West as soon as 2019?
