Final thoughts on Nebrasketball/Seton Hall tonight in Gavitt Tip-Off Games

-This is a not only a big game for Nebraska—it’s a big week for the Big Ten, who was embarrassed last year in these games, and is trying to reestablish itself as a great basketball conference

-How is this game going to go? Celebration on Thursday or early panic time?

-Do you get the vibe that Nebraska fans are expecting to win the next 2 games and get to 5-7? What does that do when trying to sum up the season?

-It’d be tough to expect an 8th straight game of 450+ yards of offense against a stout defense like Michigan State, but what is a good game for Nebraska on Saturday for offensive output?

-Any idea of what’s going on at Iowa with lack of plays for Noah Fant at tight end?

This year’s senior class will go down as one of the statistically least-accomplished ever for their 4 years…can they be remembered as being a foundation for future success, though?

-No one comes to Nebraska expecting to have losing records in 3 of their 4 years at school, but that’s what the case is for this year’s senior class: 6-7, 9-4, 4-8, and whatever this year ends up at (under .500). It will be a class that we try to forget in terms of the lack of success for the seasons they were here, but there is much more to the story than that

-How much can guys like Stanley Morgan, Devine Ozigbo, Luke Gifford, Aaron Williams, Mick Stoltenberg, Tanner Farmer, Jerald Foster and others leave to build off of? How will you positively remember them? Because there have been some unfortunate times, but if they keep finishing strong, that’s the most honorable finish to a tough year that you’ll ever find

The NFL had problems with the field in Mexico City for Monday’s Chiefs/Rams game and is moving it back to L.A.…should they dare move the game to St. Louis, though?

-The Rams, of course, left St. Louis for Los Angeles a few years ago, and the people of St. Louis were mad at owner Stan Kroenke for doing so…this is a home game for the Rams, and since there are issues with the field in Mexico City plus issues with air quality in Los Angeles with wildfires…could this be possible and Kroenke’s worst nightmare? The Rams fans would no doubt show up in St. Louis!

-Which unit is worse in this game: Michigan State’s offense or Nebraska’s defense?

-Nebraska has 7 straight games of 450+ yards of offense entering this game…seems unlikely that they’ll get there against Michigan State, but how much will this game tell us about what this offense can do in cold weather against good defenses?

-How important is tonight’s game for Nebrasketball in establishing the tone for the season?
