Keys to Nebraska – Wisconsin / PICKS OF THE WEEKEND

-Can Nebraska’s offensive line get any push against the Badgers front 7? And can the Huskers stop shooting themselves in the foot with dumb penalties?

-Northwestern/Michigan State

-Notre Dame/Virginia Tech

Lee Sterling (Paramount Sports) / Shut Up Sipple

-Last week: 4-2

-Oklahoma (-7’) vs. Texas

-Michigan (-17) vs. Maryland

-Iowa (-5’) vs. Minnesota

-Wisconsin (-20’) vs. Nebraska

-Kansas City (-3’) vs. Jacksonville

-GAME OF WEEK:  Ohio State (-26) vs. Indiana

Nebraska is a heavy underdog for good reason, but will we able to find moral victories in what is a *likely* loss?

-Nebraska fans HATE ‘moral victories,’ because they’re a proud program who has seen 2 9-win coaches get fired because of high expectations for the program. Look where you’re at now.

-Of course the goal of the game is to win it and Scott Frost and his staff will (hopefully) have this team prepared to upset the Badgers…but in case they do lose, are we prepared to find moral victories in what has been a disappointing rebuilding season so far? Will fans be able to accept that ideology?

Do Nebrasketball fans revel in the news that Creighton might be facing punishment with their association with Brian Bowen?

-Brian Bowen, Sr. admitted that although he says they didn’t take any payments, Creighton was one of the schools that offered money to Bowen to get his son on their team, offering $100,000 and a ‘good job’—the punishment is unknown, but regardless, it’s not a good look for Creighton. Are Nebrasketball fans rejoicing or do they care?

Flip it to the other side of things for Nebraska….can their run game be good enough to sustain drives and hold time of possession?

-Wisconsin’s defense is good, but it’s not great—they’re currently 50th in the nation in rush defense, giving up 135 yards per game, and somehow only have 3 sacks on the year

-Nebraska’s offensive line is still very much so a concern, but can Devine Ozigbo and company be formidable on the ground vs. the Badgers?
