Jovann Dewitt says there are personnel changes on the way on special teams…what can change to make you feel better about the unit?

-Replacement at the returner spots? Sounds like there was more emphasis in practice on special teams on Tuesday (thank goodness), and that Dewitt says there now needs to be more attention to the unit than there was at UCF

Parker Gabriel (Lincoln Journal Star) / Shut Up Sipple

-How much is this redshirt rule going to change team’s seasons if some of the best players want to try their hand elsewhere without fair warning to teams?

-What are you expecting out of Carlos Davis at DT in place of Mick Stoltenberg, and will Damien Daniels get big playing time now?

-Can Nebraska handle the high-flying passing offense of Purdue?

What would a win against Purdue do to Nebraska’s season outlook…and what would a loss do?

-Nebraska is staring 0-4 in the face if they lose to Purdue, and then even more doubt creeps in as far as when do they get their first win. But, if they win, maybe that’s the confidence you need to get over the hump and get belief/buy-in from players who are doubting their abilities to win

-Last year, some might have thought that the comeback win against Purdue would have made them gain confidence, but they instead lost 4 games straight to end the season. Why would it be so much different this year with a win?

-More comments from post-practice Tuesday

Oklahoma State senior receiver uses the redshirt rule and opts to transfer for next year; is this the start of an epidemic?

-Jalen McCleskey, who is sixth all-time in most receptions at Oklahoma State, told Mike Gundy he’s not getting the ball enough and is using the 4-game redshirt rule to do so and transfer for next year, meaning he’ll be eligible to play somewhere in 2019, as long as it’s at a school that hasn’t begun school yet

Sean Callahan (Husker Online)

-What does Nebraska’s season outlook change to if they beat Purdue…and also if they lose?

-Is it easy to tell what players love football and which players don’t when you watch a game?

-Which unit is most concerning right now (outside of special teams): the defense or the offense?
