Was the Nebraska/Colorado rivalry essentially what Nebraska/Wisconsin is now?

  • Long time Colorado coach Bill McCartney said yesterday that he’d ‘rather be dead than red,’ basically saying that he still hates Nebraska to this day. Nebraska fans definitely didn’t like Colorado, but was the hatred for them anywhere near what their hatred was for Nebraska? Doesn’t help that Nebraska had a great record in the series against them…
  • Looking at today for Nebraska, it feels like they are Colorado in the Wisconsin/Nebraska rivalry. You hate a team because you just can’t beat them (or do it very rarely), and that team probably doesn’t like you because you’re in their division, but they don’t hate you by any means to the extent that you hate them

  • What’s more likely: playing Akron on Dec. 1; playing a team like Liberty or someone else on Oct. 27; or no game at all to fill Saturday’s canceled game?
  • Huskers get commitment from Garden City JUCO RB Dedrick Mills…what’s the scoop on him?
  • Who has the bigger advantage in Saturday’s game: Colorado, for already having played a game; or Nebraska, who Colorado has zero film of?

Who has the advantage: Nebraska, for not having tape for opponents to see; or Colorado, who got a nice win against Colorado State to start the season?

Sorensen leans toward Colorado because they got the initial nerves out of the system for a new season and also played well so they believe in themselves. Does Sip agree or think Nebraska has the advantage on Saturday for not showing any cards yet?

The Killer Bees are out to get you on Nebraska’s defense….or something like that

Erik Chinander said he talked to Charlie McBride and said that the 2nd unit of defense would wear yellow and black ‘Killer Bee’ jerseys in practice in the past….now Chindander is having his first team defense wear that before they earn the right to get Blackshirts….like it?
