Richie Incognito says he wants to be a politician…what a scary thought that is / Jake lost another bowling league championship game

-Incognito told FS1’s TMZ Sports show that he dreams of being a politician in his post-football days

Sean Callahan (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple

-How long do you think it will take for Nebraska to actually have a Heisman candidate under Scott Frost?

-Would Nebraska fans accept a 20-year tenure similar to Kirk Ferentz for Scott Frost?

-Michigan listed as 2/1 odds to make the College Football Playoff…does that seem insane to you?

Kirk Ferentz’s job longevity is impressive as well as job security heading into year 20, but would Husker fans accept the same results for Scott Frost?

-Ferentz is 143-97 overall at Iowa in his 19 years, and 86-68 in conference play, but hasn’t won a conference title since 2004 and is 7-8 in bowl games

-Ferentz survived a stretch from 2005-07 with records of 7-5, 6-7 and 6-6, and rebounded to 9-4 and 11-2 in the years following…but there’s no way Husker fans would accept the 3 year mediocre run he had, not to mention the 4-8 record in 2012. Would Frost’s job be safe with those kind of results?

Iowa lost a starting safety to….SOUTH DAKOTA STATE! What in the world is going on

-Brandon Snyder, a graduate senior, announced on Tuesday that he would leave Iowa to go to South Dakota State for his last season of college football. Snyder had 2 ACL injuries that hurt him at Iowa, but still was contending for a starting job and was expected to win it. How could this happen?

Bowl games have officially gone over the edge—a random Illinois town is now the sponsor of the Bahamas Bowl

-You read that right—the town of Elk Grove Village, Illinois is now using their town’s logo—“Makers Wanted”—to sponsor the Bahamas Bowl. So…all the money that goes to paying for the sponsorship and naming rights and TV rights to ESPN—is not coming from a company. It’s coming from a random city in Illinois. Have you ever seen something so crazy?

-Imagine a Nebraska town sponsoring some random bowl game and the money that would go into it…what’s the benefit?
