June 28th: What if Dave Van Horn never left Lincoln?

June 28th: Gerry Dinardo says Nebraska needs to find a niche in recruiting again…what could that niche be? / Shut Up Sipple

-Dinardo told the World-Herald that the Nebraska he used to know and play/coach again had a niche that worked, like Wisconsin has found in current day play, but they need to find that niche again.

-What’s the best way to attack that and find a niche? Is it trial and error or do you think Frost knows off the bat what needs to happen?

June 28th: What is Nebraska’s most important game of the 2018 season?

-Whether you count this season as Year One or Year Zero, the games still count and all will be played. So, is it most important to beat Akron in the first game? Or end the Iowa dominance in the rivalry game to end the season?

-Or is it maybe against a team like Ohio State/Michigan to keep the game close and show signs of competitiveness and not giving up….or Wisconsin? Several games to choose from…some people believe for some reason that the Northwestern game is the most important….

June 28th: Which sport showcases the best athlete the best?

-Football and basketball seem like obvious answers….but which of those 2 flashes the best athlete better? Or is it a different sport not mentioned?

June 28th: Which current coach at their school will last longer from this moment: Urban Meyer, Jim Harbaugh, or James Franklin?

-All 3 seem pretty comfortable in terms of their position, as they have established themselves as coaches of solid programs (let’s forget last year’s Michigan team for a second, here)

-Any of those 3 looking to make a jump to the NFL? It seems unlikely that any of the 3 would be fired…it’d be leaving on their own terms for retirement or a different job, right? How do you see it playing out?

June 28th: Can a developmental team win a national championship, and are you OK with labeling Nebraska as that type of team?

-The Athletic’s Stewart Mandel received an interesting mailbag and was asked if teams that are developmental programs like TCU and Wisconsin—and Nebraska—that don’t have tremendous recruiting rankings, could win a national championship

-Take away your pride and ego for a second and stare reality in the face—Nebraska isn’t a top recruiting school and probably never will be. They were a national championship team in the past because of development more so than recruiting, probably. Can that type of program win a title over teams at the very top of recruiting rankings?
