June 19th: Sorensen needs a team to root for in the World Cup, who should he root for?

-Schaefer have any ideas? Listeners? Tunisia seemed like a fun team and was hanging tight with England but lost

June 19th: Robin Washut (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple

-Can Nebrasketball ever be consistently good?

-How is Nebraska doing in general recruiting against other big schools for D1 talent? They beat out Kansas to get Thomas Allen previously, can they win that type of battle again?

June 19th: What program has a chance at longer sustained success eventually: Husker men’s basketball or Husker baseball?

-We’ve seen Nebraska baseball have somewhat consistent success in the 2000s, and basketball did in the 90s….both have outstanding facilities but B1G basketball is far tougher than baseball… you trust either current coach of their program to have consistent success or would it require an eventual change?

-Are both programs ever capable of more than just 1 or 2 good seasons or is it beyond that now?

June 19th: Washington Capitals coach wins the Stanley Cup….and then resigns. Why?

-Barry Trotz led the Capitals to the ultimate goal of hockey, but couldn’t come to an agreement with management to come back for the upcoming season…why would Trotz leave and why wouldn’t management give him what he wants?

June 19th: Luke McCaffrey says he’s coming this Friday for mostly peer recruiting…how much does peer recruiting really work?

-We remember the Calabasas connection in the past with Mike Riley and all that peer recruiting, but how much does it usually provide in terms of effectiveness?

-Schaefer would know more on this as someone who covers recruiting on a daily basis…

June 19th: Can Scott Frost get Nebraska rolling by year 2 or will it be like it was for James Franklin at Penn State?

-Franklin took over for Bill O’Brien who was successful, unlike Mike Riley at Nebraska. However, Penn State was 7-6 for Franklin’s first 2 years and 2-2 following a blowout loss to Michigan in year 3 before they finally got going and believed in themselves

-What if Frost had the exact same start at Nebraska through 2 years and 4 games? We preach patience here but a 7-6 record in year 2 with an easier schedule would be hard to stomach
