June 5th: The Pac-12 is requiring is school to have 6 wins to make a bowl game with no exceptions for 5 win teams…smart for standards or bad for business?

Nebraska benefitted from the APR rule in 2015 and beat UCLA in the Foster Farms Bowl with only 5 wins going in…is this smart by the Pac-12 to set a precedent or dumb to miss possible revenue?

June 5th: Robin Washut (Husker Online) / Shut Up Sipple

-Andy Katz puts Nebrasketball at 16th in his preseason poll…do you think they are worthy of being labeled a preseason Top 20 team?

-Thoughts on Nebraska scheduling a game against Oklahoma State in Sioux Falls…how important and valuable are neutral court wins for the résumé?

June 5th: Eric Crouch is up for the College Football Hall of Fame again, and it’s time for Jake’s yearly reminder: All Heisman Trophy winners should automatically be in the Hall of Fame

-Crouch joins Larry Jacobson and Zach Wiegert as finalists on the 2019 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, which for some reason Crouch isn’t a part of

-Here’s Sorensen’s logic: the typical college football playing career is 4 years. If you spend 25% of your career as the BEST PLAYER in football during any of the years, how does that not make you a Hall of Famer? Obviously, longevity is rewarded in the professional ranks with continued success, but there is a limit in college to how long you can be there—not in pro sports. How is Crouch still not in?

June 5th: Sip is sick of losing in trivia, so it’s time to ask Jake a question to see how he does

-Jake literally has zero idea of what’s being asked to him or what the category is. This should be fun.

June 5th: Would you be OK with the idea of having 2 national championships in college baseball: 1 for northern schools and 1 for southern schools?

-The World-Herald’s Tom Shatel addressed the idea over the weekend that comes from Minnesota’s head coach John Anderson….the same guy who once wanted the B1G to play summer baseball and not play a normal regular season

-Doesn’t this seem like a college football Group of 5 national championship for the north compared to the Power 5 national championship for the north? It’s a very similar conversation for some football schools
