May 14th: Hold it RIGHT THERE, HATERS—-Tiger Woods might be back after all

-It wasn’t a great first 2 rounds putting for Woods, but a 65 on Saturday and 69 on Sunday helped him leap to a top-15 position, and he was tied for 4th for much of the round on Sunday, too…a one-tourney wonder or something for real?

May 14th: Wisconsin turns lowly-recruited linemen into great players and NFL players…can Nebraska copy their strategy? / Shut Up Sipple

-It’s the same strategy that Nebraska used to do, so you’d think they could copy it, right? We know that they develop far better there than at Nebraska, but what about their scouting can be copied and applied here?

May 14th: Will we ever get back to a time where 9 wins seems like a ‘given’ for Nebraska football?

-You know how it always was—‘your mom could coach Nebraska to 6 wins in a season.’ Well, we’ve now seen 2 5-win seasons, a 4-win season, and a 6-win season that had a bowl win over the past 14 seasons

-9 wins was never enough under Bo Pelini, and that was partially because of some embarrassing blowout losses..but will Nebraska ever get back to a point where 9 wins seems like the lowest expectation for a season?

May 14th: The Celtics take a 1-0 lead on the Cavs, but Sip isn’t a fan of everyone calling Tyronn Lue an inferior coach to Brad Stevens

-Stevens has been heralded as the best coach in basketball this season for what he’s done without Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, and it’s hard to knock that statement—but Sip doesn’t like that people call Tyronn Lue nowhere near the caliber of coach as Stevens. Does Sip have an actual argument here?

May 14th: Nebraska Baseball pretty much 0% chance of making the B1G Tournament now…will anyone attend the tourney in Omaha?

-Obviously, in a year following Nebraska’s B1G Championship season, the B1G probably thought this would be a ‘home run’ to have the B1G Tourney in Omaha at the site of the College World Series…but Nebraska isn’t going to be there. Who is going to go watch B1G baseball? Anyone? Do you have any interest in going? What a buzzkill for what could have been a fun experience

May 14th: Is long-term continuity possible…or even necessary…for Scott Frost and Nebraska in today’s day and age?

-We already saw Frost’s director of recruiting leave for Alabama over the weekend, so a staff that hasn’t even played a game yet has lost a member to a power school right now

-Northwestern has achieved long-term continuity, but where has it got them? Some nice seasons, but nothing great. Makes you think that their coordinators aren’t exactly highly desired by other programs when it comes to looking at head coach material or a bigger school’s OC/DC…don’t you almost want Frost’s staff to highly pursued for head coach jobs or higher positions at other schools?
