April 30th: Final thoughts on the NFL Draft and what teams won/lost

-Sorensen’s Dolphins were viewed by many as the ‘losers’ of the draft….he doesn’t feel the same, though. Who did well and who didn’t?

April 30th: Do any of the Husker undrafted free agents have a chance with the teams they signed with? / Shut Up Sipple

-Nick Gates—who left a season early, by the way—goes undrafted but signs with the Giants. Luke McNitt to Atlanta and DPE to Washington, and others signed places, too. Who, if any, has the best chance to make it to their team’s roster?

April 30th: It’s time to make sure that fans don’t underestimate just how tall of a task Scott Frost truly has in rebuilding Nebraska

-Sip wrote a column in the Journal Star about how although things right now seem rosy red and hopeful, there are going to be some major bumps on the way to Nebraska getting ‘back’ in the national spotlight. It won’t happen instantaneously—how long will the honeymoon stage last?

-What is there that fans might not see that needs to be overcome by Frost and staff?

April 30th: LeBron goes for 45 points as the Cavs move on to 2nd round with Game 7 win against Indiana…can they advance further, though?

-It’s still the LeBron show and little help around him, and that’s kind of the problem. The King is still playing at the highest level in the NBA, but will it be enough to go back to the Finals for an 8th straight year?

April 30th: What’s a proper expectation for amount of players drafted, and how often should you have a first round pick?

-Certainly you should expect more than one player drafted per year—and certainly you should expect to have a first round pick more than once every 7 years. But what is fair to expect for Nebraska? How soon can they reach that expectation?

-First round picks this year came from schools like Wyoming, Boise State, and Texas-San Antonio. How? Why? Nebraska has no reason to have schools like that produce 1st round picks and not them, too
